Dreary Voices

In the brink of calamity
Dreary voices calling
From their tombs
Woeful cries of weeping doom
Laments for old
And unaccomplished deeds
Bleak in their aggrieved existence

The gods do not recall the names of the lost
This baleful truth still aches
Sorrowful in sight
The lost in peril they resound the same words
A desperate strain

Questions of a dark past
Must never be answered
